Something out of the ordinary happening every single time he enters a dungeon is getting as old as him faking his E-rank. So do hunters just smell? Even if he has a good "hunter smell" why wouldn't he at least stink from normal BO after working up a sweat for hours? |

So he already has every other girl he meets drooling over him and now he's the only hunter who doesn't "smell bad" to the hot S-rank blonde. Talk about unfair. Oh yeah, but for him to be the only hunter she's ever met that doesn't smell bad is a bit much. Make the guy have to work for it some at least. And when did he gain that ability he used to rip that orcs head off? I don't remember seeing him do anything like that before. HOOfan_1 said: Yeah this has been an improvement over the first season. @HOOfan_1 IMO the first part of the story is the weakest which is why I disliked season 1 of the anime, they added filler to bulk out the boring part of the narrative even further. Although the story begins slowly it continuously picks up momentum until it really takes of and flies towards the final third. I think the structure is one of the best things about the manhwa (the other being the art). |

Ep 04 : 10/10 : Jinwoo's character is so mastered! If only more works of this genre had a main character like him! Jongin kills me. He's so badass and no one else but Hirarin could have been his voice. Ep 05 - 10/10 : the guy would have every reason in the world to show off his strength and power, but no, he played it stealthy and thoughtful, and that's how you survive in this kind of world. Jinwoo is truly unique. I can't wait to see the next episode! |

Episode 18 Hae-in is quite concerned about what has been going on with Jinwoo taking on an A-rank mission as an E-rank even in a supporting role, so she enters the dungeon herself. While that's going on, Kihoon's party meets the orc leader Kargalgan and he torments Kihoon in front of everybody. So Jinwoo takes matters into his own hands and calls his shadow army to fight back. While the orcs are strong, they didn't stand a chance against Jinwoo's army that has the edge against the orcs. And then Jinwoo takes on Kargalgan himself, and while his status ailments incapacitates Kihoon's party, they don't affect Jinwoo. Jinwoo defeats Kargalgan, and adds him to his army under the name Tusk, as well as his orc soldiers. After that, guys from the Hunters Association drop by and ask everybody to keep everything a secret, though now Hae-in and Kihoon's party know that Jinwoo is only an E-rank in name only. Once again, Jinwoo shows just how powerful he is, but now more hunters are taking note of his strength and now for the first time, somebody has seen his shadow army in action. |

Whoops our dungeon reader was off...9_9 LOL The coincidental screw ups that have to keep happening in this show. <smh> Anyway the animation sure is cool as hell, but somehow the fights are still boring. Especially when they have him and his opponent moving at superhuman speed, then they cut to the field of all the CG characters fighting at 1/4 human speed like background fighters in Braveheart. OK I'm going to slash at your shoulder now you block it and slash at my leg 9_9 no one was even doing cool spin moves. LOL Anyway finally the cat is out of the bag, let's see how long it takes for the party sworn to secrecy starts blabbing. Looked like Pick axe girl needed to change her jeans and she didn't even get to talk to him, I was at least expecting her to sniff the air as he walked by. lol I thought instead of saying thank you the party leader was going to say, "could you have stepped up a little sooner next time, before I got smashed into the floor and ceiling a half dozen times?" (how is he not dead, or at least unconscious?) |

Jinwoo's shadow army takes on the high orcs, and he increases his army's ranks by turning any dead orcs into new shadow soldiers. Kargalgan decides to take on Jinwoo himself, but he soon falls and becomes a shadow soldier as well. Looks like Jinwoo's new rank is finally going to be made public soon. |

Episode 19 Here comes Minsung, a famous actor who decided to become a hunter, and while he was assessed to be an A-rank, his moment of glory gets overshadowed by Jinwoo becoming the 10th ever S-rank hunter. As for Jinho, while he failed to recruit Jinwoo, that's only temporary as Jinwoo decides to go solo for a little bit longer. He drops by the weapons shop and sees that he can sell one of his weapons for a lot, meaning that he doesn't need to sell his Sphere of Avarice that he instead gives to his new shadow ally Tusk. And then he returns home after finally finishing his media obligations, and then the next day he continues his quest at the demon castle to finish the last 25 floors, as well as to give Tusk a test fight seeing that he's quite powerful even with his powers nerfed. Jinwoo is such a freak that now even magic beasts are feeling fear of him. Pretty much, this episode is all about Jinwoo being coronated as he was hoping to keep the charade up, but now everybody knows seeing that the alternative would have been to let those hunters die whereas at least it's only an inconvenience for Jinwoo. |

Jinwoo is officially an S-Rank now, and the news overshadows an actor's press conference. And it looks like Yoonho has caught on that Jinwoo can only get stronger from here. After that, it's basically gearing up to tackle the remaining floors of the Demon's Castle. He hits a small roadblock on the 80th floor with a small band of fierce soldiers, but now it's nothing that he can't handle. Meanwhile, Jinho's father has come down with Eternal Sleep Disease, and a flying monster from Jeju Island has managed to make it to the mainland. Things are going to get chaotic once Jinwoo returns from the dungeon. |

@MenchiK1 I mean, he cleared all the other dungeons off screen. It's just when he joins high ranking guilds as a guest apparently lol. My head canon for the BO is that he's apparently not "human" anymore and perhaps she's under a similar effect to the ice elves and other monsters making them programmed to hate and kill humans. So far i'm pretty impressed with the animation, and the flow of the story is much better since he got his shadow army. |

Yeah, as much fun as it is to grind on this show for it's edgelordiness, I have to admit it knows what it is and doesn't shy away from it. Gotta respect that. And the shadow army at least explains why he kicks so many asses, although having Iron and Tusk and Associates doing battle while he kicks back with a sandwich or something kinda feels a little lame (though the show knows to have him step in to do the real beatdown at the climax.) Does the show play to its target audience? Yes. Yes it does. And hard. |

Episode 20 Jinwoo fights the demon knight Esil, and after seeing how strong Jinwoo is, Esil surrenders and uses this to get Jinwoo to drop his guard, but it fails. Jinwoo uses this opportunity to get the 80th floor entry permit from Esil, and then they travel the rest of the way together as Esil knows where all the permits are, while Jinwoo promises to keep her safe. So he continues his climb where there's a dramatic difficulty spike on the 90th floor, and then he reaches the top to face off against the boss of the tower, Baran. He was quite tough and Baran nearly had him on the ropes, but Esil distracts him just long enough for Jinwoo to deliver the final blow. With that, Esil's family now rules the roost, while Jinwoo has his hands on the elixir ingredients. In the meantime, with an impending invasion, a guild from Japan has come over to discuss things. Once again, Jinwoo shows just how powerful he is and the action was well-animated. |

I wasn't expecting that one demon, Esil, to actually surrender and accompany Jinwoo on his way to the top of the Demon's Castle. With her as his guide, he finally reaches the top, and the dungeon's boss, Baran. Even after grounding him and taking out his soldiers, Baran is still incredibly strong. But Esil throws her weapon at Baran, which gives Jinwoo the opening he needs to rip off Baran's arms, and then punch his head clean off. Meanwhile, because the flying ant attacked Japanese territory, a joint operation between Japan and Korea is being organized to assault Jeju Island. The Japanese hunters plan to distract the ants while the Koreans move to take out the ant queen. |

Though I must admit I almost came in my pants like her when he said "I was getting tired of looking up" Squeeeeeeee! ;p Also so the giant insects are like a whole seperate thing? Like are they going to become the REAL enemy and unite all of them? What an odd left turn. |

That was a decent episode, though I still have the same complaint about the fights being too focused on flashiness. I've been watching the third season of Invincible and, even though the animation in that is very inconsistent, I enjoy the fight scenes in that show more than this one. What did he even do at the end there? Had he been saving up stat points and threw all of them into strength right then or something? Kind of obvious demon girl was going get involved at some point there. The story is starting to remind me a bit of Shield Bro. |

Ep 07 - 10/10: I was waiting for this scene and I'm not disappointed, a pure moment. Yunho and Jongin are definitely among my favorite characters in the series, I like the contrast between their personalities and their power. I like that Jinwoo remains ,despite everything, stronger than his shadows, that they are not just his puppets behind which he hides. Ep 08 - 10/10: oh how I want to make a bad joke about a character, but spoiling is bad. The fight against Baran was perfect, finally an epic fight that don't last 6 episodes! This raid... No shush |

Episode 21 With the Demon Castle quest cleared, Jinwoo has the Elixir of Life he was after to cure his mother, and he gets a new skill that allows him to switch places with one of his shadow army guys, while adding the dragon he names Kaisel to his army. While he could stay around a bit longer with Esil, he has his mother he needs to heal. So he rushes to the hospital and after four years in the hospital, Jinwoo has healed his bedridden mother. While Jinwoo has finished his mission that made him become a hunter in the first place, there's now an even bigger threat that requires him skills as an S-rank hunter. So the S-rank hunters gather as they will engage with a raid. Before that it's a sparring match between combat-type hunters, but Jinwoo is just going to watch them seeing that he's a mage-type hunter. So with that, mission accomplished as he finally can live with his mother, but Jinwoo has an even bigger task ahead of him seeing that all of Korea is being threatened. |

Jinwoo has six vials of the Elixir of Life, plus he's got a new skill that allows him to swap places with any of his shadow soldiers. After recruiting Baran's dragon into his shadow army, he uses one of the vials to heal his mother, the one thing that has been driving him all this time. Now he's been called to assist with the upcoming Jeju Island raid, and several hunters are about to engage in a four-on-four sparring match between nationalities, with Hae-in and Yoonho as part of the Korean team. |

Wah wahhhh, all that build up to save his mother and after a couple cries they go home and...clean. I guess that's the problem when you have a story with such a simple goal, once you acheive it what's left? He has no motivation to do anything now. That's why this whole ant thing feels tacked on, it's obviously just a reason to have him continue fighting. Pretty obvious the Japanese are gonna kick their ass and then Jinwoo will step in and beat them all by himself. Back to his mom though wouldn't that be worldwide news and make people start asking a lot of questions, also since he still has a lot of elixir left why not help anyone else? He can't be the only family suffering. Let some scientists test it, see what's made of etc. But no back to fighting now that he has a mom to clean their apartment again, I mean geez at least have a party or nice dinner. |

Episode 22 The sparring match is on between two teams of S-rank hunters in preparation for the Jeju Island raid, all while Jinwoo sits back and watches everybody fight. Wanting in on the action, Jinwoo agrees to go all-out with Goto, and Goto shows why he's the top dog from Japan to the point where the other hunters had to break it up. But the main purpose was for Jinwoo to secretly insert his shadow army monsters so that they can fight alongside the hunters without having to go to Jeju Island. So with that, it's time for the Jeju Island raid as winged ants are making their way to Seoul, and the S-rank hunters are out to exterminate the queen. Tagging along the S-ranks is Byang-gu since a healer is needed. So after a great amount of preparation, it's go-time at Jeju Island, all while Jinwoo stays behind knowing that they can trust the hunters to get the job done. But things are not off to a good start with one of the hunters beheaded with a blindside attack. It's mostly buildup here, but if that ominous ending is any indication, it's going to be quite brutal. |

The sparring match gets intense, and Jinwoo has to step in to keep anyone from getting too hurt. Then Ryuji, the leader of the Japanese team, asks to spar Jinwoo, and soon they're on the receiving end of being held back before things get too rough. Jinwoo decides not to join the raid, but he placed several of his shadow soldiers into their ranks. The raid begins in earnest, but when the Koreans arrive at the ant queen's chamber, they find a really huge egg has hatched. And it seems whatever hatched out of it has started taking out the Japanese hunters. |

They actually made a S-Rank team battle kind of boring. Guess we get to watch everyone get slaughtered by the Giga Ant until our Hero teleports in to save them. Well that fight sucked. So weird with them all speaking Japanese I lost track of who was Japanese and who was Korean. So all the ants are contained to a single unihabited island, why doesn't the military just nuke it? (Or bomb the hell out of it) is hand to hand combat from a bunch of people really the better way to handle it? They're not magic ants right? Also how did the queen manage to lay that huge egg that was 4X the size of ones the come out of her? Isn't impossible to lay an egg as big as yourself? |
