Greetings from India as somebody who's getting interested in aesthetic dentistry i really appreciate this video. You showed three techniques which I'll definitely use in my practice. Thank you
Thank for the video, it’s very useful, I will do it. Please help me, how to get the stamp if the first maxillary molar cups already disappeared? which tooth that I can use as the stamp? thanks you. I am happy, cus I have the materials 👍🏻.
I believe if the majority of the cusp has already disappeared, stamp technique doesn't look suitable. From what I know it is mainly used in pit and fissure caries, where we are looking to preserve the anatomical landmarks
Hi Dr Omar What kind of brush do you use for the contouring and what kind of medium you used before you put the flowable composit for the Stempel? Thank you
Hello dear; this is a demonstration for different occlusal stamp techniques if you are using Bulkfill composite materials 👌🏻 You can also apply this technique with conventional composite materials but use it in an incremental way and apply the stamp after each cusp build up before curing or with the last layer 👍🏻
To be creative is wonderful. However to disrespect the very essence of dentistry which is being ARTISTIC is not acceptable. More over, individual teeth need to be in perfect harmony and correct occlusion (bite) with opposing teeth. Another short coming of this technique is the limited depth of polymerization in bulk composite. And the most important is the “C” factor in bulk polymerization in class one occlusal restorations that places tons Of tension on cusps and create a lot of pain. One more problem is waist of time. One can do much better work with much less time. Each tooth is unique as is each patient and deserve individual attention. That requires creativity, willingness ,and patience. Dentistry should NEVER be mass produced.
Hello Dear; I don’t think that you understood the idea of this technique. I recommend that you watch the video again. Occlusal stamp technique can be used when you have carious teeth with the occlusal anatomy still intact; so you take an impression for the occlusal surface before starting the cavity preparation. This technique allows you to restore the anatomy and occlusion of each tooth individually exactly as it was before. Also you should use bulkfill composite materials which are mainly created for this purpose and not to use the conventional composite as bulk placement. Another point; there’s no mass production with this technique; you can’t use an occlusal stamp of one tooth for another tooth. It won’t be seated. So this technique restores the natural anatomy and occlusion of the teeth and it is time saving of course and you should use Bulkfill composite materials.

What can you use as a separating medium before flowable composite?
Glycerin gel
You can brush a bit of vaseline or as previously mentioned glycerin.
Doc use of posterior printing kit is very easy and fast as compared to stamp technique... what do you say
Nice, your channel deserves more views..Keep going :D
Nice work.... One question... What if taflon tape is not available, can we use the separating media on the stamp before placing it on composite?
Hello doc. Thanks for the video. What isolation did you use for the Flow composite?
giustino silvestro Hello; sorry I just saw the comment.. Glycerin Gel was used..

You can still conserve C factor and use the stamp, just do the stamp in the last 2mm increment.
